Ms. Rosemarie Somaiah is a storyteller, teacher and writer.  Her wealth of storytelling experience includes leading, teaching and telling stories in local and international schools, museums, over the radio, in the libraries and even on the MRT!

She has performed at The Arts House, the Asian Civilizations Museum, the Substation, Singapore Art Museum, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and at festivals such as the ‘Singapore International Storytelling Festival’, the ‘Asian Congress of Storytellers’ and ‘The Storytellers Showcase’ in Singapore.  Her international performances includes the ‘Scottish International Storytelling Festival,’ the ‘Beverley and East Riding Folk Festival’ in the UK and at Coorg Public School in Kodagu, Karnataka State, India.

She has represented the Society for Reading and Literacy, Singapore, at international events in Hong Kong, Beijing and Budapest.  In March 2008, she was invited to present her work at the ‘Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival’ as an author and storyteller.

Rosemarie has created stories and scripts for the Singapore History Museum.  Her work helped create a commemorative comic and was featured on the VCD produced by the Ministry of Education on storytelling.

Suzanne Innes-Kent, LLM (Distinction), is a professional trainer, facilitator, mentor, broadcaster and writer.  She has over 20 years experience in organisational training and group facilitation.  Her training expertise is in interpersonal skills such as communication, customer service, team-building, management skills, negotiation and dispute resolution.

Associate Professor Lim Lei Theng

Associate Professor Lim Lei Theng was a litigation lawyer at Drew & Napier, one of Singapore’s largest and leading law firms. Her legal practice centered on civil suits and arbitrations involving cross-border transactions. Lei Theng has an LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and an LLM from Harvard Law School.

Now serving as a Deputy Director of the Legal Writing Programme, she convenes and teaches two courses - Introduction to Trial Advocacy and Legal Case Studies, to second-year law students. She also teaches Legal Analysis, Writing and Research course, and assists in coaching the NUS moots teams.

She has taught negotiation and mediation in numerous public workshops in Singapore, Malaysia and Jakarta. Within educational institutions, her teaching has taken her from the law faculty to the LKY School of Public Policy and its predecessor institution. She has also taught in several executive programs on negotiation in conjunction with the NUS Public Policy Program, Conflict Management Group and the Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University.

Lei Theng was part of the Committee of ADR under the Ministry of Law that assisted in the establishment of community mediation in Singapore.

Mr. Joe Augustin has been a media professional for more than 20 years starting his radio career as a guest DJ in Brunei Darussalam. He went on appear on community radio in Australia before returning to Singapore to launch a new radio station for the Radio Corporation of Singapore, Class 95 in 1990.

Joe went on to host the morning show with partners like Vera Lim, Melissa Hyak, Jessica Soo and eventually The Flying Dutchman creating a new standard in morning radio for Singapore. He was also the voice that changed the way TV trailers were done in Singapore.
